Overview
Applications are open for Clinical Midwives to join Armadale Health Service and become part of the team at one of our most inclusive hospitals within East Metropolitan Health Services (EMHS). The role provides an opportunity to practice women-centred care within the scope of practice for a Registered Midwife.
Responsibilities
* Provide care across ambulatory and non-ambulatory services within the Midwifery Antenatal Clinics, Antenatal Assessment Unit (AAU), Birthing Suite and the Postnatal ward.
* Provide advanced knowledge, clinical support, leadership and supervision as appropriate.
* Contribute to MAPS (Midwifery Antenatal and Postnatal service) and Midwifery Group Practice including the Boodjari Yorgas service supporting Aboriginal maternal health and wellbeing.

Qualifications and requirements
* Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or eligible to apply.
* Eligible to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract.
* Experience in Australia or internationally is welcome.

This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time, and Fixed Term Part Time. The pool remains open for 12 months with appointments possible when similar vacancies occur within EMHS facilities. Referees may be contacted during the process.
General information
Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for permanent positions in the public sector. Documentary evidence of entitlement to live and work in Australia is required for fixed-term appointments. Employer Sponsored Visas, nomination and relocation may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Applicants must hold AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife or be eligible to apply.
