Fire safety is a critical concern in modern construction.
We are seeking an experienced Fire Safety Officer to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advice on combustible cladding and fire safety compliance within the local government area.
This role will play a crucial part in meeting statutory obligations regarding reporting on relevant programs and actions from the Community Strategic Plan, Delivery Program, and Operational Plan.
To be successful in this position, you will need:
* Current accreditation as a Building Surveyor under the NSW Building Professional board Accreditation scheme or relevant tertiary qualifications in fire safety and/or Building Surveying
* Extensive knowledge of Volume 1 & 2 (BCA) of the National Construction Code and associated building legislation
* Extensive job-related experience in the inspection and assessment of buildings to identify the classification and use of buildings in accordance with NCC/BCA, determine what essential fire safety measures should be installed, identify any fire risks, and determine the course of action
You will also need to possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
