A New Chapter Begins – Join Our Finance Team

With the upcoming retirement of a long-standing team member, we're excited to welcome a Finance Support Officer to our small but high-performing finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a well-established role where you'll help keep our financial operations running smoothly. You'll support daily accounting processes and assist with various administrative and clerical tasks, working alongside a collaborative team that values precision, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

What the Role Involves

1. Data Entry – Accurately input invoices, receipts, and financial transactions into our accounting system.
2. Accounts Payable/Receivable Support – Assisting with the preparation, processing, and reconciliation of payments and receipts.
3. Bank Reconciliations – Comparing internal records with bank statements to ensure accuracy.
4. Data Validation – Identifying and flagging inconsistencies or errors in financial data.
5. Spreadsheet Maintenance – Updating and managing Excel sheets used for tracking budgets, forecasts, and transactions.
6. Month-End Support – Assisting with reconciliations and data collation during reporting periods.

What You'll Bring to the Role

* Proven experience in accounts payable/receivable or a similar finance support role.
* A solid understanding of financial processes, with a willingness to learn and grow.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across the organisation.
* Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise tasks independently.
* Confidence using finance programs and the ability to quickly adapt to new systems.
* Experience in financial analysis or expenditure control (desirable but not essential).
* Relevant industry qualifications (desirable but not essential—we value potential and attitude).
