About Us: The Diocese of Armidale's Office serves 24 systemic schools across the New England and North West region of NSW, supporting almost 1,000 employees and 6,000 students.
Position Purpose: This role assists leaders, teachers, and education assistants in schools to effectively support students with disability and diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Promote the Diocese of Armidale Core Catholic Principles and Values in all professional accountabilities.
2. Consult with teachers on relevant teaching and learning strategies.
3. Advise on individual and group intervention, assisting teachers with adjustments.
4. Collaborate with learning support personnel in response to student needs.
5. Provide professional development for teachers and paraprofessionals.
6. Support compliance requirements of the student support program.
7. Provide case management support and assistance to other agencies.
8. Work constructively as part of the Mission and Learning Team.
9. Engage in action research to support organizational directions.
10. Support schools in analyzing system and school data related to diverse learning needs.
11. Prepare reports on the progress of students with diverse learning needs.
12. Attend to any other matters appropriate for the position.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Recognised formal qualifications in the field of education.
2. Experience working in schools or with multidisciplinary teams.
3. Demonstrated effective communication skills.
4. Highly developed skills in the use of technology and assistive technology options.
