The Role
We're looking for a Senior Test Leadto join the Engineering team based in North Sydney.
You’ll help guide the team through quality process improvements, develop test strategies, and take on hands-on quality engineering tasks
Essential skills & Experience:
· You’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality of our digital products by leading test strategies.
· You’ll oversee day-to-day testing activities and provide technical guidance to QA testers.
· You’ll collaborate closely with developers, designers, and product teams to embed quality into every stage of the software development lifecycle.
· You’ll help shape the direction of our quality engineering practices, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
· You’ll work closely with the release team to ensure smooth releases and minimal disruption to users.
· You’ll bring 3+ years’ experience as a Test lead working on digital and web product development.
· You’ll have at least 3 years’ experience in software test automation or software development,
· You’ll have at least 3 years’ experience in Banking and Insurance domain.
· You’ll demonstrate a strong understanding of web technologies, mobile apps, and modern testing frameworks (such as Selenium, Cucumber, Postman or xUnit).
· You’ll have experience in agile development environments, including developing test strategies and participating hands-on in quality engineering tasks.
· You’ll bring expertise in scripting languages like VBScript or JavaScript, and a solid understanding of TDD/BDD practices.
· You’ll have a track record of mentoring junior testers and driving adoption of quality engineering best practices.
· You’ll have excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· You’ll Conduct various types of testing such as functional, integration, system, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Perform manual and automated testing as required.
· Identify, document, prioritise, and track defects through resolution. Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely bug fixes and retesting.
· Ensure that the software meets quality standards and complies with defined requirements. Assess risks and provide mitigation strategies.
