About the Role:

The Accounts Receivable Officer is responsible for performing accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts receivable transactions and client billing.

Key Responsibilities:
">

1. Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
">
2. Perform day-to-day financial transactions including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivable data
">
3. Prepare and process all resident billing, ensuring that accounts are accurate and timely
">
4. Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
">
5. Verify discrepancies and resolve client billing issues, including client liaison
">
6. Facilitate payment of invoices by sending bill reminders and contacting clients (debt collection) Estate management and arrangement of refunds
">
7. Ensure all resident movements are accurately recorded to enable the correct calculation of resident fees and charges
">
8. Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status
">
9. Reconcile all expected funding to the monthly Medicare Payment Statements and follow-up variances
">

Requirements:
">
To be successful in this role you will have:
">
">
* Knowledge of accounts receivable
">
* Experience within aged care
">
* Knowledge of basic accounting functions and software
">
* Proficient use of technology including MS Outlook, Excel, Aim, and Inerva
">
* Ability to analyse and problem solve issues autonomously
">
* Proficient in data entry and management
">
* 1-3 years accounts receivable or general accounting experience
">
* Accuracy and attention to detail
