Procurement Support Officer position working in a Government Department based in Cairns
Your new company
Hays Recruitment are pleased to support the urgent recruitment of an AO3 Procurement Support Officer to work within the Queensland Government for an initial 4 weeks starting ASAP, with the possibility of extension; Based in Cairns.
Your new role
In this role, you will also:
* Assist with procurement-related projects, including researching and evaluating new strategies, processes, and procedures
* Order materials and process a wide range of purchase orders, work orders, and field release orders
* Support the development and delivery of procurement training and induction programs, including preparing training materials and coordinating contractor meetings
* Maintain a strong understanding of relevant legislation, policy, and departmental procurement requirements
* Promote procurement as a key business function and provide high-quality support to internal stakeholders
* Contribute positively to team culture and demonstrate a high level of professionalism
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you will need to have a sound administration background.
You will also need to be proficient in MS Word and MS Excel (skills testing will be required for this position). You will have strong attention to detail, accuracy and data entry skills. Understanding of Ellipse and SAP will be highly desirable.
