Commercial Manager - Brisbane, QLD
Are you an experienced Contracts Administrator or Contracts Manager with a passion for driving success in the world of commercial construction? The successful applicant will form part of our client's commercial construction team based in Brisbane, Qld. My client is happy to assist with relocation costs for the right applicant. My client has a focus on multi residential new build projects between $60M - $140M. As a leader in their industry, my client takes pride in their projects, team, individual support and development.
Role Overview
As the Brisbane Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial, contractual, and operational success of multiple projects. Your strategic thinking, leadership, and negotiation skills will be critical in driving profitability, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring project delivery within budget and timeline. Collaborating closely with delivery teams, you'll be at the forefront of project delivery and strategic decision making for the future. This role reports directly into Senior Leadership.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement effective commercial strategies to maximise project profitability.
* Lead contract negotiations, manage procurement, and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
* Foster and maintain strong client relationships.
* Collaborate with project teams to oversee cost forecasting, financial reporting, and risk management.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to the commercial team.
* Spend time in the office and onsite working with the teams.
* Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to inform decision‐making.
Requirements
* Based in Brisbane, or willing to relocate to Brisbane.
* Proven experience in a similar role within the commercial construction sector.
* Experience with projects in excess of $60M.
* Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets, costs, and procurement effectively.
* Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Leadership experience, capable of motivating and developing a high‐performing team.
