Job Overview
This is a key role within the ICT department, focusing on delivering high-quality database administration and support.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, security, and integrity of databases used at RCH, in both cloud and on-premise environments.
This position involves proactive monitoring and capacity planning, with a focus on delivering exceptional results.
* You will support and maintain enterprise-level Oracle and SQL Server database environments in 24/7 operating environments.
* Contribute to the delivery of RCH cybersecurity protections, aligning with DHHS Cybersecurity Baseline Controls.
* Administer and support Oracle e-Business Suite (EBS).
* Design and implement complex oracle EBS reports using SSRS.
Key Responsibilities
To excel in this role, you will require:
* Proven experience as a database administrator in enterprise-level Oracle and SQL Server database environments.
* Expertise in Oracle e-Business Suite (EBS) and creating complex oracle EBS reports via SSRS.
* Experience in SQL Server 2016 to 2022, including database clustering, availability groups, and active-passive failover configuration & availability group load balancing.
* Knowledge of Linux and Windows Server operating systems, as well as SQL Reporting.
* Ability to effectively prioritize tasks, problem-solve, and troubleshoot issues.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop practical solutions and provide advice in area of expertise.
* Strong team player with experience in continuous improvement.
