About the Role:
At TCX Future Development Corp, we aren't just pouring concrete; we are reshaping the skyline of the Hunter. As Newcastle transitions from its industrial roots to a modern metropolitan hub, we are at the forefront of that evolution—delivering landmark mixed-use and commercial projects. We are seeking a battle-hardened Senior Project Manager to take the helm of our flagship developments.
This is a role for a leader who knows that a project is won or lost in the planning phase. You will move beyond simple site supervision to total project ownership. You will oversee the entire lifecycle: from ECI (Early Contractor Involvement) and design management, through to delivery and handover. You will be the bridge between the client's vision and the reality of the construction site, ensuring that safety, quality, and margin are never compromised.
Why Work With Us?
* The Newcastle Advantage: Trade the M1 gridlock and Sydney housing prices for a coastal lifestyle. Our projects are local, meaning you spend more time building and less time commuting.
* Tier 2 Agility, Tier 1 Standards: We operate with the systems and safety rigor of a major builder, but without the bureaucratic red tape. You can make decisions and see them implemented the same day.
* Legacy Projects: You won't be building cookie-cutter fit-outs. You will be managing complex, multi-million dollar developments that will define the region for decades.
* Career Pathway: We are growing fast. We need leaders who want to step up into Construction Manager or Director roles in the near future.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Delivery: Manage the full construction program (MS Project) for projects valued at $20M+. Ensure critical path milestones are hit.
* Financial Management: Own the project budget. Manage cost reporting, progress claims, variations, and cash flow forecasting. You treat the company's money like it's your own.
* Contract Administration: Administer the Head Contract (AS4000/4902) and manage all subcontractor lettings and scopes of work.
* Stakeholder Management: You are the face of the project. Manage relationships with clients, superintendents, councils, and neighbors with professionalism and tact.
* HSEQ Leadership: Drive a "safety first" culture. Ensure site teams are compliant with NSW WHS legislation and that quality standards (QA) are rigorously maintained.
What We Are Looking For:
* Experience: 8+ years in Construction Project Management, with a proven track record delivering commercial or multi-residential projects ($15M+) from start to finish.
* Local Knowledge: Experience in the NSW construction market is essential. Relationships with local subcontractors in the Hunter Region are a massive plus.
* Technical Grip: You have a degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering. You understand the technical buildability issues and can solve problems on the fly.
* Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Procore, Jobpac, or similar construction management software is expected.
* Leadership: You are firm but fair. You can command respect from a site foreman and a client board member in the same afternoon.
