Job Title: Data Architect
A challenging opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and experienced Data Architect to join our client's team in Western Sydney on an initial 12-month contract.
About the Role:
1. Develop and implement database solutions to store and retrieve company information, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
2. Install, configure, and maintain information systems to ensure seamless functionality and high-performance standards.
3. Analyse structural requirements for new software and applications, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
4. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify key metrics for various areas of the business, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
5. Design and develop a transformational roadmap with clear objectives, strategies, and timelines, driving business growth and success.
6. Work closely with project managers and teams to deliver high-quality projects, meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations.
7. Promote data governance and best practices throughout the organization, educating business units on the importance of standardized data management.
8. Consult with business stakeholders and IT analysts to ensure understanding of business requirements, developing solutions that meet their needs.
9. Identify additional professional service needs, selecting vendors and partners to support strategic advice, analytic solution selection, and development.
10. Play a key role in metadata management, extracting, synthesizing, and analysing data from various sources to inform business decisions.
11. Design specifications and standards for data projects, across all environments, ensuring consistency and quality.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
2. In-depth knowledge of data and reporting technology platforms, including Azure cloud platform, Databricks, Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, and Microsoft Suite.
3. Proven ability to diagnose business problems, translate business questions into analysis roadmaps, and deliver data platform and business intelligence solutions.
4. Critical thinking, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills, with experience working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
5. Cloud technology integration experience, with ability to work effectively with stakeholders and communicate complex ideas simply.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and make quality decisions under pressure.
7. Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate and persuade at various levels within the organization.
