Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 - Hunter Valley
Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 position in Hunter Valley Sector Specialist Palliative Care Service. Located at Cessnock House, the role supports patients and families across Cessnock, Kurri Kurri, and Singleton, delivering expert palliative care in a community setting.
What You Will Be Doing
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager of the Hunter Valley Community Health Nursing Team, you will provide advanced clinical leadership and specialist palliative care expertise throughout the service.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading and supporting high‐performing clinical teams and individuals
* Providing expert clinical advice and guidance on complex palliative care matters
* Delivering and coordinating high‐quality, patient‐centred care
* Supporting improved patient outcomes through evidence‐based practice
* Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team across the sector
* Maintaining professional and ethical standards in complex care environments
About You
Experien~ed and confident clinician with a strong background in palliative care and a passion for leadership and service improvement.
Requirements
* Proven ability to lead and support clinical teams
* Advanced clinical knowledge and decision‐making skills
* Ability to share expertise to enhance team performance and patient outcomes
* Strong understanding of professional and ethical practice in complex situations
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Registered Nurse with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA and at least 5 years full‐time equivalent post‐registration experience, including at least 3 years in this specialty field; approved postgraduate nursing qualifications in Palliative Care; eligibility and willingness to drive for work purposes in NSW
