Cyber Security Engineer Job Description
* This is a Senior Security Systems role responsible for enhancing security controls across various environments, from Official to Top Secret.
* You will design, implement, and remediate security measures in complex ICT environments, provide expert security engineering advice to multiple government entities, and implement controls aligned to ASD ISM, Essential Eight, and other industry standards.
You should have 7+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer with expertise in one or more areas: Microsoft Active Directory and complex Windows enterprise systems, Secure networking / gateways / SDN, Cross Domain Solutions / Data Diodes, Sentinel or Splunk (or similar SIEM platforms), and Cloud platforms – Azure, AWS, GCP or similar.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, including documentation and briefings for senior stakeholders. Ability to work independently and in hybrid/remote teams, directing others and setting work tasks to align delivery with organisational objectives.
