National Custom Compounding (Pharmacy) on the Gold Coast, Queensland is looking for a friendly, efficient, reliable, and experienced compounding technician to join our team.
Compounding is a unique business in which medications are made specifically for patients at the request of a doctor. This art goes back to the original ways of community pharmacy however modern technology has allowed for precise methods and operating procedures to be followed.
**Job description**
The team member will be involved in a number of systems through the compounding pharmacy. National Custom Compounding is rapidly growing through Queensland and Australia, and is looking for like-minded team players to join us.
A compounding technician will be required to make a range of medications and cosmetic products including creams, capsules, lozenges and solutions.
- Basic responsibilities will include_
- Assist with various compounding activities under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
- Creation of nutritional products, creams, lotions, troches etc.
- Maintenance of technical equipment.
- Restocking medications
- Performing order entry, batch management
- Operating of the compounding computer system including compounding module
- Attending to customer enquiries and requests
- Following standard operating procedures
- Cleaning and any other duties that are required.
**Job Requirements**
Education, training, experience (will assist, however not compulsory)
- High School completion, pharmacy assistant training, diploma or similar.
- Completed a Pharmacy Assistant or Compounding Technician program
- Hospital assistant experience
- Must be detailed oriented with good organization skills and be effective working in high stress environments
- Learn quickly and multi-task effectively

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
Supplemental pay types:
- Christmas bonus
- Performance bonus
**Experience**:
- Compounding medications: 1 year (preferred)
Work Authorisation:
- Australia (preferred)
