About You And Your Skills
As the Procurement Specialist – Business Technology, you will play a key role in driving strategic sourcing and supplier management to optimise technology spend.
You'll leverage data-driven insights, lead RFx processes, and oversee contract performance to deliver measurable value.
Responsibilities
Supporting Category Managers with analysis to develop robust category strategies.
Maintaining initiative trackers, contract repositories, and folders to ensure benefits are tracked and reported effectively.
Leading and managing RFx processes to secure optimal commercial outcomes.
Providing analytical and operational support for strategic sourcing, Supplier Relationship Management, and contract performance management.
Conducting Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis, should-cost modelling, benchmarking, and commodity analysis to inform decisions and optimise spend.
Qualifications and Skills
Strong commercial acumen, ideally from FMCG, retail, or large corporate environments.
Proven experience in procurement or commercial management, preferably in technology categories.
Ability to identify efficiency and quality benefits beyond savings through value chain management.
Research and networking skills to keep Coles ahead of industry best practices.
Hands-on experience in vendor selection and management, including:
RFP creation and execution
Financial and scope analysis
Total Cost of Ownership considerations
Negotiation and contracting to protect value creation
