What you will do
As a Macro Product Developer, you will be at the forefront of customer needs, food & lifestyle trends, and commercial insights to co-create a suitable product plan & deliver this plan in line with our category strategies and WFC Brand strategic direction.
In this particular role, you will be responsible for the successful end-to-end product & packaging delivery of Metro stores ultra fresh food-to-go development plans as part of the Macro tribe, & ensuring exceptional quality standards for the overall WFC Strategy.
This is a permanent full-time position based out of the Norwest Office with an opportunity to work flexibly. This role is open to candidates who are currently based interstate or overseas and willing to relocate.
Who you are
You are currently working as a Product Development in a complex & customer-centric environment. You bring an evident passion & love of food and product, with knowledge of local & international food trends. You have a keen interest in and knowledge of healthy food trends and ingredients.
Key Education, Experience & Skills
4. Minimum 3 years of product development experience in innovation, product development, and consumer insights with specific experience in fresh food, ideally ultra-fresh.
5. Food-related Bachelor's Degree with product development as a major, or a tertiary culinary art qualification
6. Strong understanding of product, ingredients, manufacturing, and cost makeup of goods
7. Ability to translate food and customer trends and insights and interpret them into product plans
8. Solid organisational and project management skills
9. Demonstrated ability and experience to work cross-functionally across multiple teams and diverse stakeholders
10. Prior experience & success in building & maintaining strong supplier relationships
