We have an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused Finance Business Partner to join our Ethicals team, partnering specifically with our Wholesale Ethicals Business.
Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, you will operate as a trusted advisor to a broad set of stakeholders, including
Heads of Ethicals, Category Managers, and functional leaders. This is a highly autonomous role where you’ll provide strategic financial guidance that elevates decision-making, profitability, and long‑term category performance.
What you’ll do:
Partner independently with Wholesale Ethicals and Category teams to support growth, pricing, and navigate implications on regulatory framework
Own the P&L for your portfolio, with accountability for analysing performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and influencing key commercial outcomes
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and monthly performance reviews with senior stakeholders
Build and evaluate business cases that support commercial initiatives, supplier negotiations, new programs, and strategic investments
Deliver clear, actionable reporting and insights that support data-driven decisions
Drive financial discipline, commercial thinking, and continuous improvement
Provide financial modelling and scenario analysis to support category strategy and wholesale trading decisions
Act as a key connector between Finance, Ethicals, Merchandise Planning, Inventory, and broader Commercial teams

What you’ll bring:
Several years practical experience with at least 5 years' relevant business partnering experience
Experience working in a complex commercial, wholesale or retail environment (wholesale background advantageous but not required)
Strong influencing skills with the confidence to challenge assumptions and guide senior stakeholders
Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and drive outcomes without close supervision
Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of product economics, margin drivers, pricing levers, and supplier trading terms
Proven ability to develop effective partnerships between support and business functions
Extensive experience in management accounting, performance management and reporting, business planning and budgeting
Experience in financial evaluation of projects (NPV, ROC etc.) and initiatives and the preparation of formal business cases
Experience using large ERP systems & BI tools (SAP, BPC, MicroStrategy, PowerBI)
Advanced Excel and extensive financial modelling experience with large and multiple data sources
CPA or CA certification
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance related discipline
Strong Pharmaceutical experience an advantage
