About the Role
This is a fixed‐term, part‐time position at 0.8 FTE/60.8 hours per fortnight within the Children's Cancer Centre.
Responsibilities
* Providing expertise and oversight for high‐quality, evidence‐based clinical care for children with cancer diagnoses and their families.
* Delivering strong and supportive supervision of trainee and junior medical staff.
* Contributing to the education and research programs of the Children's Cancer Centre.
* Encouraging and facilitating continuous improvement through clinical audit and research, and promoting a positive research culture.
Key Achievements
* Strong leadership and expertise in the delivery of high‐quality care to children and adolescents, and their families.
* Active contribution to departmental strategic and operational goals, consistent with the mission, values and strategic plan of the organisation.
* Work collaboratively with other CCC stream clinicians and relevant stream leaders to facilitate clinical service improvement through clinical audit, research and a positive research culture.
Skills and Experience
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) administered through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Post‐graduate qualification in area of expertise (or willingness to work toward it).
* Experience in Bone Marrow Transplant.
Other Requirements
* Current National Criminal Record Check, or willingness to obtain.
* Valid Working with Children Check.
* Compliance with RCH's "Staff Immunisation – Prevention of Vaccine Preventable Diseases" procedure.
* Vaccination against influenza annually for Category A and B roles, and other disease vaccination or proof of immunity as required.
