Job Title: Advanced Skills Teacher (Mathematics/Science)
We are seeking an experienced Advanced Skills Teacher to join our team in a part-time role.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing appropriate learning programs for students, as well as assessing individual student progress. They will also assist the principal in the general educational leadership, management, and administration of the school.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement effective learning programs that cater to the diverse needs of students
* Assess and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to improve academic outcomes
* Collaborate with teachers and staff to promote a positive and inclusive school culture
* Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that support student learning and well-being
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Qualifications as established by the Tasmanian Industrial Commission in the Teaching Service (Tasmanian Public Sector) Award, 2005
* A registered teacher with full registration within the meaning of the Teachers Registration Act 2000
* The Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Act 2013 requires persons undertaking work in a regulated activity to be registered. A regulated activity is a child-related service or activity defined in the Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Regulations 2014. This registration must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of this may be checked at any time during employment.
Desirable Qualifications
Four years or more training as defined in the Teaching Service (Tasmanian Public Sector) Award 2005 would be highly desirable.
