Project Engineer - Expressions of Interest

Mobilize is looking for an experienced Project Engineer for a 6‑month contract in Kwinana to support the demobilisation and remediation of the Train 2 lay‑down area. This is a hands‑on role with responsibility for delivering projects safely, on time, and to a high standard. It is ideally suited to an engineer with civil or earthworks experience who thrives in dynamic project environments and is ready to make an immediate impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Lead Construction Delivery Engineer in planning and delivering the Train 2 demobilisation and remediation.
- Catalogue, relocate, and manage disposal of materials, including engaging third‑party contractors.
- Remediate the land and return it to the owner.
- Work closely with engineering, execution, and operations teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Oversee procurement, cost, and schedule activities.
- Maintain robust communication with stakeholders and ensure compliance with project governance.
Qualifications:
- Tertiary degree in engineering, preferably mechanical.
- Minimum 5 years’ project management experience in mining, metals, resources, or industrial projects.
- Hands‑on experience in brownfield projects including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Experience in civil or earthworks projects is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Australian engineering and construction practices.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills.
