Allied Health Assistant – GNMHS – Community Mental Health Team

Location: Charlestown Community Services Centre (Charlestown, NSW)

Employment Type: Temporary, Full Time & Part Time until May 2026

Position Classification: Allied Health Assistants

Remuneration: $30.63 per hour + superannuation

What You’ll Be Doing

- Support delivery of high‑quality care across Charlestown Community Services Centre and its community‑based programs; assist with client care – preparing for treatments, helping with evaluations, providing information about available services.
- Help plan and deliver recreational and therapeutic activities that promote mental stimulation, social connection, and wellbeing.
- Provide administrative support, maintain records and resources, and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills.
- Contribute to care planning, ensuring the best outcomes for clients through effective communication and teamwork.

Additional Information

- An eligibility list will be created for future temporary full or part‑time vacancies.
- To be eligible you must be an Australian Citizen, or permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or hold an appropriate visa that allows you to live and work in Australia. Employment of a temporary visa holder will only be offered in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
