Build Meaningful Connections as a Volunteer Visitor
We are seeking empathetic and kind individuals to become visitors for older people through our Community Visitors Scheme.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Empathy and kindness
* Ability to chat about anything and willingness to listen
* Maturity (18+ years old)
* National Police Clearance (we can assist you to obtain this if you don't have one)
As a visitor, you will be matched with an older person based on shared interests and location. You will then support them to create a friendship through regular visits, which can take place at least once a week or fortnightly for more than six months.
The successful completion of the volunteer orientation is required. Further information and online applications can be found on our website.
You will have the opportunity to develop new skills, make a positive impact in your community, and gain valuable experience in customer service.
