The Position
We are looking for trade qualified Electricians with strong electrical diagnostics, general maintenance, and repair experience to join us in the Underground Electrical department at George Fisher Mines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preventative maintenance and repairs of electrical equipment
* Electrical inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
* Installation and upgrades to LV and HV networks
* Fault finding and troubleshooting electrical issues and breakdowns
* Drill Rig Maintenance and Breakdowns
* Supporting improvement projects that aim to reduce unplanned stoppages
* Maintaining and improving OH&S and overall operational standards in the workplace
* Building and maintaining friendly and professional relationships with clients, staff & management
* Attending breakdowns as required by the business
* Planning work tasks to meet compliance with the Weekly and Daily Plans
* Displaying leadership within own circle of control
* Interpreting and updating technical drawings
Requirements:
* Trade Qualified Electrician
* Proven track record of electrical repairs and maintenance
* Mechanical aptitude and ability to read parts diagrams and schematics
* Light fabrication skills such as making brackets and mountings
* Understanding of circuit diagrams and wiring
* Installation of electrics and excellent overall electrical skills
* Hardworking, reliable, and able to work unsupervised
* Strong focus on completing the job safely and compliantly
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent troubleshooting & problem-solving skills
* Flexible approach and adaptable to change with high attention to detail
* Good time management skills and able to work well under pressure
* Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
