About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual with a background in radiology to join our team as the 2IC Radiographer reporting to Regional Services Manager (RSM) for our hospital site at the South West Health Campus and act as the deputy to the RSM.
The 2IC Radiographer for the site will be a pivotal member of the Apex Radiology Operations team and contribute to the technical direction of the business.
Responsibilities
* Maintaining a high quality efficient medical imaging service to our patients and referrers.
* Co‐ordinates and supervises the operational activities of the MIT, Clinical Assistants and Patient Care Assistant teams.
* Maintains and develops the roster for the clinical staff at SWHC.
* Ensures the safe and efficient use of equipment, acting to resolve faults/issues and advise the Operations Manager and respective RSM's.
* Assisting management with ongoing growth and development of radiology services.
* Overseeing QA monitoring and physicist testing performed across site.
* Liaising with Radiologists, modality supervisors and staff.
* Other duties as directed by the RSM, Operations Manager, Clinical Director and/or General Manager from time to time.
* Flexibility is a key as this role will require participation in the clinical roster.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will possess the following skills and qualifications:
* 10+ years' experience working in a radiology practice with experience in day‐to‐day operations of a specialist area.
* Proven leadership ability, be proficient in supervising staff designated to their area of supervision.
* Demonstrate a proven record in training and teaching of both undergraduate and postgraduate staff.
* Demonstrate high level competence in General X‐ray, DEXA, CT, Fluoroscopy, Angiography, and Mammography (desirable)
* Degree qualified in Medical Imaging.
* Strong working knowledge and experience with RIS/PACS.
* Highly developed interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build effective relationships and communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
* Demonstrated patient‐focused approach in service provision with genuine empathy and interest in their needs.
