About the Role:
Are you an Senior Accountant looking for a role that offers flexibility and the chance to grow your skills? We are seeking an Senior Accountant to join our team and play an important role in shaping our accounting operations.
In this role, you'll take on a variety of tasks, gaining hands-on experience in key areas of accounting and taxation. As the company grows, there will be opportunities for you to develop your career further and take on more responsibilities.
This role offers flexibility, allowing you the option to work remotely and in the office, catering to your preferred work environment. You'll also collaborate closely with the principal of the practice, ensuring smooth operations and contributing to the team's success.
What you'll do:
Use your accounting expertise to prepare and analyse financial statements.
Keep our clients books in order with meticulous general ledger account maintenance and reconciliations.
Prepare tax returns and activity statements for individuals and small businesses.
Assist our clients with their business transactions and identifying tax planning opportunities. Provide reliable support for their accounting needs and offer a listening ear for discussing basic business strategy ideas.
Communicate effectively with clients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring their needs are met.
Stay up-to-date with accounting and tax legislation and rules to provide the best possible service to our clients.
Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving office efficiency and effectiveness.
Foster a positive and supportive work environment through effective communication and teamwork.
Qualifications:
Qualification(s) in Accounting, Business/Commerce, or a related field.
CA or CPA qualified.
Professional experience within a public practice or client-facing environment, preferably in business and taxation services.
Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and tax legislation and rules.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain tax and accounting matters to clients in a clear and understandable manner.
Proficiency with accounting software and tools.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
