Role Description
This full-time, on-site Senior Commercial Manager role is based in the Greater Melbourne Area. The Senior Commercial Manager will oversee commercial strategy, contract performance, and revenue optimization for the Victoria ticketing program, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading commercial negotiations, managing key contracts, monitoring financial performance, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and risk frameworks. The role coordinates with operations, finance, legal, and technical teams to support business planning, develop commercial models, and prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership and government clients. The Senior Commercial Manager will also mentor team members, support continuous process improvement, and contribute to long-term strategic planning for the program.
Qualifications
* Strong Commercial Management and Contract Management skills, with experience managing complex, long-term service or technology contracts.
* Proficient Analytical Skills and Business Planning capabilities, including financial modelling, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.
* Proven Team Management experience, including coaching, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration.
* Experience in public transport, ticketing systems, technology services, or large-scale public sector programs is advantageous.
* Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with government and corporate partners.
* Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Law, or a related field; postgraduate qualifications or professional certifications are a plus.
