About Us
We manage 3.2 million hectares of State forest across Victoria, maintaining recreation assets and supporting tourism.
Our role includes delivering forest health initiatives, preparing for and responding to emergencies on public land, and reducing risk to people, property, and the environment.
We provide expert advice to government on forest and fire management and act as a key regional touchpoint, ensuring policies and programs meet the needs of Victorian communities.
In this two-year program, you'll have diverse roles across the Department, working in metro and regional Victoria with flexible work principles.
You'll enjoy hybrid work teams, start times between 7am-7pm, and be supported with mentors and buddies, participating in extensive learning and development.
We're committed to creating a culturally safe environment where individuals feel safe, valued, and able to enable their culture, spiritual, and belief systems.
