Medical Specialist – Paediatrics12.5 hours per weekJoin our collegiate General Paediatric service as a consultant Paediatrician in the beautiful cities of Ballarat and Horsham.About The RoleAs a General Paediatrician, you will diagnose and manage a broad array of acute and chronic paediatric health issues, providing comprehensive and compassionate care to the children of Ballarat, Horsham and the surrounding regions.Key ResponsibilitiesThe role includes both acute paediatric and neonatal work (Level 4 special care nursery in Ballarat) and being a member of a multi-disciplinary team for health care professionals caring for children and young people within the Paediatric Diabetes service.The role involves working closely with the paediatric registrars, HMOs, nursing and clinic staff and supporting education to our other Grampians sites.Skills And ExperienceHave recognised qualifications as a General Paediatrician with experience in managing patients across acute, general, developmental & behavioural paediatric medicine.Requirements for the position are a current AHPRA registration and specialty recognition through the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.All appointments are subject to a satisfactory Police Records Check & Immunisation Clearance.Have recent acute inpatient experience at Senior Registrar or Consultant level.Preferably have experience in Adolescent medicine, Mental Health, the management of patients with diabetes.Contribute to a positive organisational culture and role model professionalism with respect to patient dignity & compassion, effective communication, accountability, innovation and ethical clinical care.Interested?Click APPLY or if you wish to discuss the role prior to applying, contact Shabna Rajapaksa on 0427 041 641 for a confidential discussion.We're actively seeking candidates for this role and will review applications as they are submitted.
