Job Title: Chief Financial Strategist
Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned financial leader to join our team in Toowoomba, QLD.
This role plays a pivotal part in safeguarding and improving financial results while providing strategic insights to senior leadership.
* Deliver accurate and timely analysis of monthly management financials for the Cotton platform.
* Manage financial impacts of industry asset procurement/divestment, including Fixed Asset Register and Depreciation schedules.
* Design and improve reporting strategies and templates for enhanced effectiveness.
* Provide specialist advice on finance policies and resolve complex queries from global finance teams.
* Interpret and analyse P&L, volumes, revenues, and production cost drivers for stakeholders.
* Lead industry-related financial audits annually.
* Prepare and review annual budgets in collaboration with the FP&A Analyst for Ginning, Warehousing, and corporate business units.
* Support monthly forecasts, tracking industry-related volumes and KPIs for management and executive teams.
* Analyse capex project applications to ensure accuracy of return estimates.
* Produce and distribute monthly capex reporting.
* Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic initiatives and decision-making within the Cotton Platform.
* Contribute to system development projects and business-as-usual finance processes.
* Lead and mentor the Cotton Industry Controller, supporting development, workload management, and team objectives.
