A full-time position is currently available for a Funeral Director's Assistant to join our team.
Duties include but are not limited to:
* Assisting on funerals as a Funeral Director's assistant
* Providing best practice in the preparation and presentation of deceased persons - To our standards and including special family requests
* Lifting of deceased and coffins
* Transfer of the deceased
* Accurately complete mortuary registration and checking procedures
* Trimming of coffins/caskets and nameplate engraving
* Washing of vehicles
* General cleaning duties
* Being on an on-call, after-hours roster
Skills and Experience:
* Ability to provide exceptional customer service at all levels
* Ability to effectively communicate to both colleagues and clients
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
* Must be in a fit state of physical and psychological health to adequately perform the duties required - the position is physically demanding
* Be emotionally mature and possess high personal grooming standards
* Attention to detail

Experience in the funeral industry is not a requirement.
