Job Title: Residential Care Worker 2
A challenging and rewarding role is available for a motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Residential Care Worker 2. The successful applicant will be working with children and young people who have displayed extreme challenging and pain-based behaviours in a residential setting.
About the Role:
This role involves working one on one with children and young people, providing direct care and support to meet their physical, emotional and psychological needs. You will be part of a dynamic team that delivers evidence-based interventions to promote positive outcomes for the young people in our care.
Responsibilities:
* Provide direct care and support to children and young people in a residential setting
* Develop and implement individualised care plans to meet the needs of each young person
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all young people
* Maintain accurate records of interactions with young people and participate in regular supervision sessions
Requirements:
* A minimum 2 years' experience working with children and young people who have displayed extreme challenging and pain-based behaviours in a residential setting or health and social care setting
* Completed and hold a degree level qualification in a relevant discipline would be desirable but essentially the minimum qualification requirement would be a Level 4 diploma within a related discipline to the industry
* Ability to do shift work (Approx. 5 shifts a fortnight for full time staff) and sleeping sleepovers
* Must have a full UK or Republic of Ireland driver's license for at least 12 months
* Able to obtain the necessary international police check and any associated area police check's & statutory state check requirements for the specific state that you will be employed within Australia
