We are looking for an engaging and strategic Psychology Lead to lead and develop our national psychology workforce and play a key role in the ongoing growth of Axis' Mental Wellbeing Services.

This role sits at the intersection of clinical leadership, operational delivery and strategic growth, working closely with senior leaders across the business. You will provide strategic and clinical leadership to psychologists delivering high-quality services across early intervention, pain management, insurance-based work and onsite mental health programs. You will ensure services are consistently delivered with a strong work-focused lens, driving outcomes that support people to sustain participation in work or successfully return to work.

This is a genuine leadership pathway role, offering exposure to executive-level decision making, national account management and service development. The successful candidate will be supported to step into broader organisational leadership over time. Every day, your work will make a meaningful impact to organisations and their employees by preventing and managing psychological injury and improving wellbeing in the workplace, driven by the belief that healthier people perform better.

In this role you will

* Contribute to the strategic planning and direction of Mental Wellbeing Services at Axis, including involvement in senior leadership forums and advisory structures
* Lead day-to-day operational delivery of psychology services nationally, ensuring quality, consistency and sustainability across the team
* Provide leadership, mentoring and development to psychologists, including regular 1:1s, performance reviews and capability building
* Partner with senior leaders on business development and national accounts, supporting client relationships and growth opportunities
* Work closely with your team, HR and leaders on workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding and retention
* Support financial performance by delivering against budget, monitoring service utilisation and identifying opportunities for continual improvement
* Act as a strong clinical and leadership presence within the psychology team and broader Axis business
* Espouse the Axis Values of Professional, Caring, Independent, Outcome Focused, Quality and Dedicated.

You will bring

* Demonstrated experience leading clinicians or teams, with strong people leadership capability
* Minimum of five years' experience as a psychologist, ideally with exposure to workplace mental health, occupational rehabilitation or wellbeing services (Note: Candidates with relevant background experience (ie. HR, business development or customer management) who have recently gained full registration as a psychologist are encouraged to apply).
* Commercial awareness and the ability to balance clinical quality with business outcomes
* A strategic mindset with the ability to think beyond day-to-day operations
* Accredited psychology qualification with General AHPRA registration
* Professional indemnity insurance and full Australian working rights
* Driver's licence and access to a private vehicle
