About The Role: This is a unique opportunity to become an integral part of a fast growing technical services team, where you will work across very unique electrical sites as a Transformer Technician. At Ampcontrol, we challenge the rule book with large-scale projects and industry-changing technology for our customers. You will work on customer sites and projects that make a real difference, becoming the face of Ampcontrol on customer sites across generation, transmission, renewables and mining industries. This role is based in Hexham, NSW, and supports Ampcontrol's NSW High Voltage Field Service operation. You will play a pivotal role within a crew of Transformer Specialists, undertaking site-based refurbishment, maintenance, installation, repair and testing on significant power transformers around Australia. Our service team offers above-market rates, flexible rosters, overtime, and fitness subsidies, along with educational assistance programs to support your development. This opportunity also offers the chance to situate yourself close to coastal living while growing your expertise across critical infrastructure. You may work at multiple locations across Australia.
About You: You are motivated to perform work to a high standard and to work cohesively with peers. The following qualifications and attributes are essential or desirable for the role.

* Experience in team leadership and supervision
* The ability to travel for work where required
* Significant experience working with transformers (variety of sizes up to 600MVA 500kV)
* Experience with Transformer Oil Filtration (desirable but not essential)
* Report preparation
* Current Unrestricted Driver's license
Education / Training: Required – Trade qualifications (Electrical, Mechanical or Fitter License); Driver's License; Construction Induction (White Card). Advantageous – HR or MR truck licence; Forklift licence; Rigger/dogman experience; EWP; Working Safely at Heights; Asbestos Awareness.
