We are seeking casual Chefs (all levels are encouraged to apply) and Kitchen Attendants/Hands to join our high energy, fast moving kitchen team under the leadership of Executive/Head Chef, Loki Lynch and The Ducks at Hotel Brunswick team. Located in the heart of Brunswick Heads in the Northern Rivers region of NSW, the iconic, community-centric Hotel Brunswick is thrilled to announce the launch of The Ducks at Hotel Brunswick. A new food concept blending the relaxed atmosphere of a classic Aussie pub with the sustainable, high-quality food ethos of Three Blue Ducks. Showcasing local seafood & produce alongside an ethos of limited waste, vibrant and fresh flavours and most importantly fun

Key Qualifications, Attributes and Responsibilities - Chefs

* Demonstrated experience as a Chef de Partie, Demi Chef, or equivalent role in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure and seek guidance when required to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
* Clear and effective communication skills with excellent organisation to support teamwork and service flow.
* A hands-on approach with a strong work ethic, committed to delivering consistent, high-quality food and service.
* Proven ability to uphold quality and consistency across all menu items and service times.
* Capable of multitasking across various kitchen stations while supporting the Head Chef in day-to-day operations.
* Collaborative team player with the ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive kitchen team.
* Flexible availability to work across rotating shifts including prep, lunch and dinner service, as well as weekends and public holidays, in line with hotel operating hours.
* Proficiency across all kitchen sections, with the ability to step in wherever needed to support service demands.
* Brings experience in a fast-paced kitchen. Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and/or Kitchen Management would be desirable.

Key Qualifications, Attributes and Responsibilities - Kitchen Hands/Attendants

* Maintain cleanliness of all crockery and cutlery by thoroughly washing, sorting and polishing to ensure they are spotless and ready for use.
* Efficiently store clean crockery and kitchen equipment in their designated locations to support an organised and accessible kitchen environment.
* Clean and dry kitchen tools and equipment, ensuring a hygienic and safe space for food preparation.
* Assist with deep cleaning of kitchen storage areas, including fridges, cool rooms, dry stores, loading docks, and refuse bin zones to uphold hygiene standards.
* Sweep and clean kitchen floors regularly to ensure a safe, tidy and slip-free working environment.
* Remove garbage to designated refuse rooms promptly, keeping kitchen and surrounding areas clean and free from waste build-up.
* Manage recycling processes by sorting and preparing materials such as cardboard, plastics and glass for collection.
* Assist in receiving deliveries, rotating stock and storing supplies efficiently to maintain proper inventory and reduce food waste.
* Restock hand washing stations with soap and paper towels to maintain hygiene standards for all kitchen staff.
* Follow all opening and closing procedures as directed by kitchen leadership to support smooth day-to-day operations.
* At times, you may be required to provide assistance with basic food preparation and cooking under the supervision of kitchen leaders, contributing to overall kitchen productivity.
