Soto Group is an Australian based creative agency specialising in brand transformation, web development, and marketing for B2B clients across startups, professional services, trades / technical services, and NFP sectors. We're known for our rebrand capabilities and co-design in the NFP sector.
We're a small, tight knit partially remote team with an office in West Perth. Although our bricks & mortar are Perth based, majority of our clients are East Coast.
We're known to shoot for the stars and with 20+ design awards and long standing client relationships we're genuinely proud of what we've achieved.
We're not a big agency. We're a lean, quality focused team that moves fast and does things properly. If that sounds like your kind of environment, keep reading.
The Role
This is a hybrid Account & Project Manager role. Super critical as you'll be the connective tissue of our delivery team. You'll be co-managing new enquiries with our team, keeping projects moving, and become the relationship owner for a small portfolio of clients (3-5).
You'll handle early stage discovery calls for our inbound enquiries, brief our design and web teams, coordinate delivery for your projects, and manage client accounts. For smaller projects, you'll run the whole show. For larger ones, you'll work alongside our senior team to keep things on track and learn the ropes.
This is a genuinely varied role. No two days look the same, so it suits someone who's equally comfortable on a client call, writing a project brief, and chasing a deadline.
You'll be primarily working from our West Perth office 4 days per week during your initial training period. We are flexible with allocation of hours / time in the office once you are across the ins and outs of the role, and we fully trust our team to manage their time effectively. Expect that for at least the first 2 months, you're primarily office based.
What You'll Be Doing
Account Management
Own a portfolio of client accounts as the go to person for updates, queries, and relationship management
Run initial discovery calls/emails with new enquiries, gather briefs, and qualify scope
Prepare proposals, quotes, and meeting agendas using systems like HubSpot and our templates
Identify opportunities to expand client relationships through additional services
Project Coordination & Delivery
Manage projects end to end in Asana/Teamwork — timelines, milestones, budgets, and deliverables
Brief and coordinate our design and web contractors to ensure quality output, on time
Run and deliver smaller projects independently; collaborate with the broader team on larger scopes
Flag risks early and keep clients in the loop — no surprises
Business Support
Support Soto's own marketing initiatives — content, campaigns, and comms
Maintain CRM hygiene in HubSpot — enquiries, pipeline, reporting
Work closely with our Operations Manager on systems and process improvements
Contribute ideas and bring fresh thinking to how we do things
Who You Are
3–5 years experience in an agency, marketing, or account management role
OR similar tenure of experience in business management with exposure to marketing / brand projects
OR you're one of those people who picks up new skills, technology and processes with minimal industry experience, because it's your superpower
A natural communicator — confident on the phone and clear in writing
Organised to the point of it being a personality trait — you stay on top of a lot of moving parts without losing the thread
Comfortable briefing creatives and holding contractors accountable to a standard
Sharp enough to read a client situation and know when to push, when to pause, and when to elevate
Coachable and consistent, you like operating to a system and improving it
Self-directed — you don't wait to be told what to do next
Familiar with project management tools (Teamwork, Asana or similar) and CRM platforms (HubSpot a bonus)
Understanding of branding, web, and/or marketing services — you don't need to be a designer, but you need to speak the language
You're looking for one job that works for you. While we do have part time team members, this role is best suited for someone who can dedicate their time without distractions.
You're not expecting an office full of people. With majority of our clients east coast based, most of our team are east coast also.
