A well-established Toowoomba-based manufacturing company is seeking a Trade Assistant for an immediate start in their workshop. This is an ongoing position with the opportunity to move into permanent employment after a successful probation period.
This role suits someone with hands‐on experience assisting trades, assembling machinery, agricultural equipment, or working in a production or mechanical environment.
You'll be supporting tradespeople with assembly, testing and general workshop duties while maintaining a high standard of safety and quality.
Duties Include
* Assisting trades with assembly and fit‐out of equipment
* Testing and basic commissioning support
* Using hand and power tools
* General workshop duties and housekeeping
* Following plans, instructions and safety procedures
About you
* Previous experience as a Trade Assistant, fitter's offsider, mechanic's assistant or similar
* Mechanically minded with good attention to detail
* Own basic hand tools
* Reliable, punctual and ready for Monday–Friday work
* Local Toowoomba resident preferred
