An exciting opportunity exists for a psychologist to join our team in Psychology Services, Hospitals South (Royal Hobart Hospital, RHH) working in a paediatric outpatient and community setting. The Role
Working within a multidisciplinary team as the Tasmanian Community Paediatric Service (TCPS) psychologist, you will provide evidence-based assessments and therapeutic interventions to paediatric outpatients in the Southern region and/or statewide services of Tasmania. TCPS delivers a specialised, coordinated paediatric service for children, young people, and their families.
The Role Involves
* Working to support the development and safety of children 0–18 years.
* Providing assessment and intervention to address developmental needs.
* Working with a wide range of clinical populations, bringing diversity to the role and enabling rapid broadening of clinical knowledge and experience.
* Liaising with community providers to link children and their families with relevant services and supports.
* Community travel as required.
Psychology Services
As the psychologist in the TCPS, you sit within the broader RHH Psychology Services team, which includes clinical psychologists, neuropsychologists, and health psychologists, working across inpatient and outpatient settings. We are a dynamic team of high-achieving clinicians who are passionate and committed to our work and community. You will also form part of a dedicated Allied Health Professionals team, within a workplace that supports contemporary, client-centred, evidence-based practice, professional support, and opportunities for growth.
Within The Psychology Services Team We Offer
* Professional development support, peer review, and clinical supervision including to new graduates and psychology registrars.
* Support, mentoring, and development from a psychology and allied health leadership team.
* Opportunities for rotations to gain experience in different clinical areas.
Details Of Appointment
Two permanent positions are available: full time and part time, day worker roles up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Hours are negotiable with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar vacancies (full-time, part-time, and casual).
Salary
$110,425 to $121,907 per annum pro rata. Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022.
Salary Packaging and Allowances
You'll have access to salary packaging including living expenses up to $9,010 and $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year, plus other benefits if eligible. Access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme.
* Professional Development Allowance of up to $1,000 per annum.

Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
* Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Psychology Board of Australia.
* Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia.
* Current Working with Children Registration.
* Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times; status may be checked during employment. It is the employee's responsibility to ensure that registrations/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if circumstances change, including revocation, cancellation, or conditions altering.
Desirable Criteria
* Endorsement by the Psychology Board of Australia as a Clinical Psychologist or Clinical Neuropsychologist.
* Postgraduate degree in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology.
