The Opportunity
The General Manager is a key leadership role of the organisation. Responsibilities for the day‑to‑day management of the operational activities and working with the Board of Directors to implement and achieve strategic objectives.
The role is located at our Head Office in Scone NSW in the Upper Hunter.

To be successful in the role you will have:
* Demonstrated experience reporting to a Board with a strong understanding of good governance.
* Financial Acumen: Interpret financial statements, identify trends and implement appropriate action.
* Communication & Relationships: Build positive and effective relationships with the ASHS team, Board, Members and broader community.
Selection Criteria

1. Strategic Thinking – the applicant will have worked at a very senior level in business and have experience in achieving outcomes.
2. Communication and stakeholder engagement – the applicant has been successful in managing a broad range of stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes. Experience managing complex relationships including how to manage conflict between stakeholders.
3. Leading people and change – significant experience in successfully leading through complex and substantial change. They will be able to articulate a clear understanding of how to lead through the change. They will be able to clearly demonstrate what they have done to bring about successful and sustainable outcomes in an organisation or team.
