We are currently looking for a solicitor with at least 2 years’ experience, and a genuine interest in Wills and Estates. Role Description
This is a full-time role specialising in Wills & Estates located in our Newcastle office. You will be passionate about helping clients plan for the future and providing legal advice as a trusted advisor and building strong and supportive relationships. We are a close knit team and your ability to cross refer within the business and build collaborative internal relationships will be key to your success.
To be successful in this exciting opportunity, you will bring
* Expertise in Law, with a focus on Wills & Estates
* Experience drafting and updating wills, trusts, and estate planning documents and drafting advice to clients on estate planning and estate disputes
* Proven ability to manage deceased estate matters including, applying for a grant of probate / letters of administration and attending to the administration and distribution of estates
* Strong drafting skills, particularly in drafting wills, testamentary trusts, special disability trusts and other estate planning documents (i.e. enduring powers of attorneys, enduring guardianships)
* Assisting the Practice Group Leader in all aspects of wills, estate planning and estate administration including representing clients in will and estate disputes, family provision claims and other equitable matters, and applications for judicial advice
* Experience in estate disputes and litigation is desirable.
* Bachelor’s degree in Law or equivalent
