We are seeking a dynamic and innovative leader to join our Student Services Team as Student Services Manager (Years 7 & 8).

Responsibilities

You will lead the day‐to‐day operations of Student Services for Years 7 and 8, including line management of Year Coordinators and Student Support Staff, and oversight of pastoral care processes. Using data to diagnose trends and respond to emerging needs, you will plan, implement and review targeted strategies aligned with the school's Business Plan to improve student outcomes academically, socially and emotionally.

A key focus of the role is supporting students through the transition into secondary school. You will play a central role in the planning and delivery of Year 6 into Year 7 Orientation and Transition programs, ensuring a strong start for all students, and oversee pastoral care and behaviour management across Years 7 and 8.

You will work collaboratively with staff, families and external agencies to support students, particularly those who are educationally at risk. A strong understanding of case management, intervention planning and Department of Education (DoE) processes relating to wellbeing, attendance, engagement and child protection will be highly regarded, along with knowledge of contemporary practice and current Department of Education policy.

Highly developed interpersonal, communication and organisational skills are highly desirable, including the ability to build trust, influence practice and lead a cohesive team within a fast‐paced environment. A proactive, flexible and solutions‐focused approach will be key to success in this role.

Eligibility
* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
* Hold registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia.
* Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
* Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
