Aspire Homes Australia is currently recruiting for Therapeutic Youth Workers in Newcastle, Central Coast district. This is an exciting opportunity to provide trauma-informed therapeutic care for children and young people who have experienced significant adversity. We aim to be a leading IPA (individual placement arrangement (IPA) provider through our skilled and experienced staff, home-like environments and the development of an IPA specific therapeutic framework.

Essential criteria:
* Current NSW Working with Children Check for paid employment
* Current National Criminal History Check Certificate
* First Aid Certificate, preferred but not essential
* A valid driver's licence
* Roadworthy and comprehensively insured vehicle
* A qualification in Human Resources sector or the willingness to obtain one and or considerable industry experience
You will:
* Provide a safe and secure environment in which young people can thrive
* Support young people as they transition into and out of our care
* Support young people to achieve their living skills and Case Plan goals
* Be an advocate for the young person
* Have the necessary skills to manage complex behaviours and difficult situations according to the young person's behaviour management plan
* Be available for shift work
* Have strong written and oral communication skills
* Be an effective team-player, with the ability to work autonomously
* Undertake ongoing training as identified
