Senior Pharmacy Technician - Aseptic Services

A dedicated team of pharmacists and technicians provide pharmacy services to a wide range of paediatric surgical and medical specialties. We have a new, exciting opportunity for an experienced GPhC registered Pharmacy Technician to take up a full time position of Senior Pharmacy Technician - Aseptic Services. You will provide leadership and management to the aseptic services team in delivering a safe and efficient aseptic service to our patients and will support the senior leadership team in the maintenance of the Quality Management System and further development of the service.
Main duties of the job
Job Summary
To provide leadership, organisation and management of Aseptic Services.
To contribute to the development and management of a safe and effective Pharmaceutical Quality Management System (QMS).
To support and deputise for the Production Manager as required.
To work collaboratively with the Aseptic Services team to ensure that facilities and practices comply with Good Manufacturing Practice.

Job responsibilities
Supervising the technical workforce within the Pharmacy Aseptic Service and contributing to the management and development of a safe and effective service.

Person Specification
Education and Training
* NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Pharmacy Service Skills or equivalent qualification
* Registered Pharmacy Technician with GPhC
* Have attended Aseptic Preparation & Dispensing of Medicines (APDM) course
* Final Accuracy Checking Certificate (or equivalent) in Technical Services
Experience and Knowledge
* Extensive experience of working in an Aseptic Unit or GMP facility
* Good working knowledge of principles of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
* Awareness of the fundamental components of a Pharmaceutical Quality Management System
* Experience of supervising / mentoring team members
Skills and Attributes
* Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
* Accurate and methodical - good attention to detail
* Lead by example - positive and optimistic
