Job Description

Hanrahan Health is expanding its support services to include positive behaviour support We seek an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner at the Proficient or Advanced level, committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based, person-centred, and outcome-focused positive behaviour support to NDIS participants.

Daily responsibilities include:

1. Assisting NDIS participants, along with their families and carers, to identify needs through assessment and planning.
2. Developing, evaluating, and delivering evidence-based support plans within complex support environments.
3. Creating meaningful goals and practical strategies using a positive behaviour support framework, aiming to eliminate restrictive practices in home and community settings.
4. Ensuring plans reflect participants' goals, passions, and strengths.
5. Building capacity and strengths of those supporting participants, including family, carers, and friends.
6. Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced practitioners.

About You

* Proficiency or higher as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with evidence of qualification.
* Significant experience supporting individuals with behaviours of concern.
* Excellent report writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
* Genuine passion for the disability sector.


Qualifications

* A degree in an allied health discipline is preferred.
