Overview
Consultant Cardiologist – Pacemaker Service (0.1 EFT) at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne (Fitzroy). This is a part-time role ideal for a clinician to contribute to a high-quality electrophysiology service within a major tertiary and teaching hospital. The position alternates weekly between pacemaker implantation and arrhythmia clinic activities. Responsibilities
Perform pacemaker implantation and contribute to a safe and efficient cath lab workflow Diagnose and manage arrhythmias through specialist outpatient consultations Engage in multidisciplinary team discussions to enhance patient outcomes Participate in quality assurance, procedural documentation and departmental meetings Support education and training of junior medical staff and cardiology trainees Role Details
Location: St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne (Fitzroy) Classification: HN15 – HN55 ($113.05 - $147.73 per hour) excluding super Core areas and weekly schedule: Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory (3.5 hours/fortnight) and Arrhythmia Clinic (1 session/fortnight) About You / Qualifications
Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Cardiology Subspecialty training and experience in pacemaker and device implantation Current AHPRA registration (or eligibility for registration) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Desirable: experience in a tertiary hospital environment Patient-first, evidence-based approach to clinical care Why Join Us
