The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, professional, and organised Medical Receptionist to join our busy specialist gastroenterology practice across Bella Vista and Richmond.
This is a part-time position (3–4 days per week) with the opportunity to assist with additional shifts when required.
Working hours are 9:00am-5:00pm.
This role is not suitable for students. Only applicants with prior medical practice experience will be considered.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the Doctor and Practice Manager, you will be the first point of contact for patients and play a key role in the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing professional and compassionate service to patients and healthcare professionals
* Managing appointments, patient records, correspondence, and billing
* Coordinating theatre lists and hospital admissions
* Performing daily financial reconciliations
* Liaising with hospitals and other healthcare providers
* Providing administrative support to the Practice Manager

Essential Criteria
* Minimum 1-2 year medical reception experience required
* Previous experience working in a medical practice (applications without this will not be considered)
* Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* Professional presentation and a compassionate manner
* Ability to work independently and within a small team
* Australian work rights are required for this position
* Availability to work flexible weekdays as required
* Willingness to travel occasionally between Bella Vista and Richmond locations
* Experience with Clinic to Cloud software is highly regarded.
