The Southport Private Hospital provides comprehensive mental health and rehabilitation services to the Gold Coast and wider community.
Our mental health service offers inpatient programs for youths (from 16 years of age) and adults requiring treatment for mood, anxiety, personalities disorders and alcohol dependency. We also offer neurostimulation services such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) should it be suitable for patients, plus a comprehensive range of day and community programs.
We are now hiring casual Catering Attendants!
Job Description
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for:
* Exceptional customer service
* Being responsive and sensitive to customer information, their needs and wants
* Setting up, plating and distributing patient meals and beverages
* Undertake cleaning duties throughout the department and at ward level whilst keeping in line with HACCP/Food Safety regulations infection control and hospital standards
* Assisting the broader catering team with daily operations and special requirements.
* Monitoring and managing stock levels to ensure efficient service delivery.
* Working across a rotating 7-day roster, including morning and afternoon shifts.
* Experience within the healthcare industry desirable.

To succeed in this role, you will be a reliable team player with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to patient care and food safety.
You will also demonstrate:
* A solid understanding of food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety practices.
* Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional manner.
* The ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage time effectively.
* Previous experience in a hospital or commercial kitchen setting (highly regarded but not essential).
* Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster.
* A willingness to embrace and promote Ramsay Health Care’s core values.
* Knowledge of HACCP and food handling compliance.
