Join one of Australia's most advanced and academically active Neurointervention programs

Monash Health is seeking an outstanding doctor to join our NeuroInterventional Radiology (NeuroIR) Service as a NeuroInterventional Radiology Fellow. This is a unique opportunity to train within a high-volume, research-active and dynamic academic Neurointerventional service. We are recruiting for two fellowship positions commencing August 2026 and February 2027.

The Monash NeuroIR Service provides 24/7 specialist care for adult and paediatric patients with ischaemic stroke, haemorrhagic stroke, brain aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations and complex neurovascular disorders. Our team includes four NeuroInterventional Radiologists, two dual-trained Cerebrovascular Neurosurgeons, two fellows, and a dedicated Neurointerventional CNC, working within a highly collaborative multidisciplinary model.

Monash Health performs over 500 NeuroIR procedures per year, with extensive exposure to intracranial interventions, and delivers one of Australia's largest neurovascular imaging programs (>4000 neurovascular studies annually). Monash Medical Centre is also one of Victoria's two designated state-wide Endovascular Clot Retrieval Centres, providing integrated adult and paediatric stroke pathways.

Monash Neurointervention is one of Australia's most academically productive NeuroIR groups. The service is active in innovation and translational research, including first-in-human trials with further growth in neurointerventional oncology, and development of an endovascular biopsy program planned for 2026.

Fellows receive protected academic time, mentorship from clinician-scientists, and support to produce at least one peer-reviewed publication and a national or international conference presentation.
