Costa's Curlwaa Packhouse is located in Curlwaa NSW(20 min drive from Mildura) and operates from May to October each year packingfresh citrus fruit such as oranges, lemons, mandarins, tangelos, limes andgrapefruit for both export and domestic markets.
Who we are looking for:
Anattention to detail and quality focused person who enjoys being a part of the day-to-dayQuality Assurance & Control process performing laboratory analysis andreporting on data to assist Citrus Operations meet regulatory requirements andcustomer specifications.
What you'll be doing:
Theability to work in an analytical, solution focused and time conscious manner iscritical to the success of this role.
Other responsibilities:
* Accuratelycalibrate and operate laboratory equipment/instruments.
* Analysis ofcitrus fruit juice samples to determine internal maturity in accordance with Australian Citrus Standards and Customer Specifications.
* Assist in preharvest assessment of varieties as required.
* Perform seedcounts to help determine fruit suitability for relevant markets.
* Generalhousekeeping duties associated with lab cleanliness and hygiene.
* Data entry ofanalysed results and maintain records.
What you'll bring to the role:
We're looking for someone with...
* Previous laboratory experiencepreferred but not essential as on the job training will be provided.
* HACCP training would be highlyregarded.
* Knowledge of safe work practices andcompliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
