Staff Specialist
This role provides specialist Anaesthesia clinical care to patients and assumes overall responsibility for patient care, including inpatient and outpatient consultations, participation in the on-call roster, elective and/or emergency procedures, and participation in multidisciplinary clinics and meetings.
Key functions include:
Providing specialist clinical services and professional leadership within Anaesthetics and the Perioperative area across Metro South Health facilities
Delivering high quality inpatient and outpatient care, including on-call participation
Performing elective and/or emergency procedures
Supervising and teaching junior medical staff and students and other health care team members
Participating in multidisciplinary meetings, research, and quality improvement
