Lead Mirvac’s external financial and sustainability reporting, shaping how the Group presents its performance to investors, regulators and the market. Be a trusted technical adviser on major transactions and projects, including new business opportunities, acquisitions and disposals. Set the standard for financial accounting and reporting across the Group, driving process optimisation and system improvement across a complex, diversified portfolio. As a Senior Manager, External Reporting & Accounting, you will be partnering with the Group Advisory & Solutions (GAS) Leadership and Divisional Finance to maintain and enhance Mirvac’s external financial and sustainability reporting strategy. The role reports to the Group Financial Controller and is the process lead for end to end financial reporting processes across the organisation. This includes group consolidation, preparation of the interim and annual ASX financial statements for the Group and Property Trust, and delivery of Mirvac’s climate reporting roadmap. Your responsibilities will include: Financial Reporting: Responsible for the consolidation of the financial actual results for the Group. External Reporting: Responsible for the overall external reporting strategy for the Group including the preparation of the Integrated Annual Report for MGR. The role also oversees and supports the preparation of statutory accounts for the Mirvac Property Trust, subsidiaries, joint ventures and funds. Sustainability Reporting and Assurance: Responsible for leading the Group’s first mandatory climate disclosure in accordance with Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards. Develop and implement a workplan to deliver the Climate Disclosures. Work collaboratively with the Sustainability team and operating divisions to uplift and enhance data governance and reporting. Record to report process lead: As Mirvac uplifts processes across the enterprise, facilitate standardisation of similar processes onshore and offshore by acting as process owner. Governance & project management: Responsible for the planning and project management of the interim and annual reporting processes for the Group. External Auditors: Play a lead role in engaging with and managing the external audit function, ensuring a transparent, positive and value-add relationship is fostered. Technical Accounting Lead: Interpret and assess the impact of changes to accounting and industry standards and their application across the Group’s operating segments. Transaction advisory: Partner with the business unit finance teams to provide advice on financial and accounting issues in relation to transactions and projects including new business opportunities, acquisitions, disposals and investments to ensure the optimal outcome for the Group. Continuous Improvement: Identify and drive implementation of improvement opportunities through process redesign, system review and best practice adoption to enhance the Group reporting processes in a collaborative manner. Systems: Partner with the Mirvac Digital Team to ensure the Yardi accounting platform is operating effectively and optimised for Mirvac’s diversified and integrated business model. Your point of difference Minimum 15 years accounting experience within a large listed ASX reporting environment Deep exposure in the property sector highly desirable Demonstrated experience in new business structuring, accounting for business combinations delivery of projects and JV/Third party Strong ASX financial reporting background and previous experience in similar role Experience in managing teams, system implementation and compliance Demonstrate a flexible approach to work Strong technical accounting skills Qualified CPA/CA or CFA equivalent Clear capability to lead, motivate, manage and mentor finance team members including the capability to build a high performing, accountable and inclusive team High level communication (written and verbal) and stakeholder management skills Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills Excellent attention to detail High level computer literacy Exceptional organisational, project management and reporting skills Ability to interact and engage at all levels within the business
